About
I am a photojournalism student studying in my last year at San Jose State University.
I have never developed my own film. In fact, I have never been in a working darkroom only been in a darkroom once. No, the ones I usually come across have been used for storage or have been converted to suit a new function.
As with many other photographers, I am currently trying to feel my way around as I adapt to new forms of media. To help learn these new skill sets I have served as photographer, production editor and online editor at my school’s newspaper, the Spartan Daily. I have also interned at the Rafu Shimpo, the Silicon Valley Community Newspapers, and the St. Cloud Times.
I am not sure why I blog. Honestly, I think it is more so that my mom can feel secure in knowing that I am getting my work done than to try and get my name out anywhere. As a exercise, I have found it useful in connecting with like-minded individuals, as well as in reflecting on career goals and new technology.
You can view my photos on my flickr account. I also helped film/edit a short documentary on La Colonia boxer Victor Ortiz which can be viewed on Google Video.
Feel free to view my resume or email any questions or comments to me.
